I installed three drilled 9MM compensators in the FHN Tactical 509. The fit and finish are first rate, and the two-set tensioning screws give you confidence that it will last. Apply torque to the recommended 25 inch-pounds. I have shot 115 different factory loads of 9mm practice ammo and defensive loads from Federal Micro 150g HST, Hornady Critical Defense, Winchester SX-9. They were all well fed. Reduction was realized by vertical muzzle rise. I highly recommend it to my fellow shooters.
So I bought this after hours of figuring out what I wanted from both practical and financial considerations. It can be used without the need for Loctite, and you don't have to check it often because it has two allen screws (don't touch the main barrel, but it sinks into the compensator, so it doesn't. I've put about 300 rounds through my FN509T, that's how this pistol works and most of all it's shot. Then I knew what would happen. I felt the difference after the first shot as soon as I put the compensator on. Didn't actually fix it because the gun was still on target! FIND IT!!!!!!
This completes my shot! It's plug and play I like the allen key because it allows the pistol to stop and clean, and doesn't have to deal with the blue Loctite or come out loose as it presses into place. This thing is scratch and spot on in its performance!!!!!

The Archon compensator performs well as a compensator with muzzle rise in the same range as other highly rated comps. However, it fits a Gen 3 or Gen 4/5 Glock frame perfectly. Apparent brightness (greater at night) is less than otherwise and acceptable. However, if you plan to shoot in low light to reduce the effects of glare, I recommend using a lighter weapon (I use a Holoson red dot for the same reason. Low light shooting). One of the best features of the Argon comp above all others is the way the barrel is protected. Instead of setting screws that require Loctite, screw in your expensive threaded, match-grade barrel. If you tighten the set screw on the bowl threads, your bowl can now be used only for that. Archon separates the pole with the threaded portion and uses two sets of screws (no Loctite required) to attach the pole to the drum. It takes exactly two minutes to put it on and one minute to take it off. Unlike other combs I've used, I can easily remove the comb to clean my bowl and replace it easily. Great computer!
