Buy Glock 20 - I bought a G20 a year ago from a Glock store and it's a great sidearm to use on my farm in Northwest Colorado. I have full confidence in his ability to handle any situation that may arise in this rural area. The silver tipped Winchester jump and pop is very controlled. For the big game hunter, it's a top-shelf sidearm.

Since then, I have been equipped with an upgraded release stick that makes cleaning much easier after a day of shooting.
I also bought a plastic plug for the empty hole in the grip next to where the magazine goes. I heard that dirt gets from there to the ignition mechanism - but more on that IDK.
Be sure to press it firmly into the body of the gun when the loaded magazine falls out. I hope your magic wears off a bit.
I have 20SF. My third Glock and my favorite of the 8 guns. 15 rounds of 10mm caliber is a lot of firepower.

I bought a G20 GEN 4 about a month ago. I bought cheap. Even if I paid more, I would still be a HAPPY GLOCK GUY!
Went to the shooting range last week and shot 3 different rounds. NAVY, SIG/SAUER AND ARMSCOR. All 3 worked without a problem. But I would say that I like ARMSCOR the most.
I've shot all FMJs with single fire and semi-auto. The gun worked flawlessly! Of course it's a GLOCK!
I have an old G19 from the early 90's, it's still a great gun. I always had this or a RUGER 1911 45ACP when I bought it.

I have smaller guns to carry 4 stocks but I like MORE POWER! BOSS i.e. Wife likes smaller guns anyway. I never want to make him angry enough to shoot me; he's a much better shooter than me! His father raised him in NRA competitions in the late 50's and early 60's and won numerous awards, always beating a man! It must hurt!
I was torn between 10mm and .45 ACP. After looking at a lot of ballistics and performance studies there was no doubt... The G20 wins in all areas: velocity and muzzle and target power, trajectory, etc. Although the ammo is a bit expensive, I'm still glad to have it primarily for personal protection but if that black bear shows up in my yard again, he might get some lead shampoo!
I've been balancing on the verge of getting one of these for some time now. I never thought much about Glocks due to the plastic and lack of manual safety. But one of the .45acp fell into my lap and has grown a lot in terms of quality, ergos, simplicity and weight. So this is my first 10mm, based on my previous Glock experience... 15 rounds of 10mm should be enough for anything I encounter in the southern Rockies I call "home".
I have a second Glock 10mm and I'm delighted. It has recoil, but nothing "gets out of control". I'm not a big guy, but straight out of the box and a little vision upgrade to my liking (no accessories, just the stock) and it hits me every time. GOOD GUN!!!

It was my first weapon, and like your first love, it will always be your favourite. Shorts and t-shirts are worn nine months out of the year in Houston, and most of the time I carry its little brother, the Glock 29, with me. But when it's cooler and I'm wearing a jacket, I still pack the G20. With a 16-round hollow blade, I think I can handle anything that comes my way. If Sasquatch misjudges the situation, G20 will make him regret it. I love this gun.

This firearm is the complete package. It is powerful but manageable. It has great power and I would feel confident using it to protect any home or large game (e.g. bears). This is my fifth Glock and I love every one of them.
It'll be interesting to see what the Gen 5 G20 would add to the mix if Glock ever produced one (obviously it's a new model number).
