glock 36 specs

Glock 36 Specs - The Glock 36 is the perfect evolution of the pistols from Glock, packing all of the line's favorite features into a small package with a big punch.

This small compact .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol carries six additional loads with a single stack magazine to meet its compact dimensions. The first single from Glock, the Glock 36 is a true soft subcompact.

A single rod is the key to achieving 28mm width. Built as a slimmer version of the Glock 30, the end result is very similar to the Glock 19 in many ways. That is, it brings a difference to the table with 36 loads.

When it comes to personal defense, some gun comparisons are in order. For example, a 9mm Glock 19 is no joke, but a .45 Glock 36 will stop a threat. Point.

What stands out in the pro column for me is the reliability of Glocks in general. These simple and straightforward guns are perfect for my untethered needs.

With a pre-cocked trigger, similar to Glock's Gen3 models, the Glock 36 is comfortably similar to the other stellar Glocks in my arsenal.

The trigger handle accommodates the middle finger and ring finger in the grip grooves. My little finger has room to buy a magazine before I run out.

Which Light Would You Run?

The overall texture is a bit softer than I would have liked, but that's because I carry my Glock concealed, and the aggressively rough texture of the grip doesn't make for a more comfortable carry.

Easy-to-read layouts and simple functionality make shooting a breeze. Interval time with the Glock 36 is my muscle memory. As with the popular 1911, I enjoy shooting consistently with this pistol for its simplicity.

One last thing to note is the noticeable difference in weight. Not only is it a supermodel slim-frame polymer pistol, but I also carry half my normal ammo load. In my web gear holster, the Glock 36 is light enough to hold and not pull on my clothes.

If it were a Glock 19, a half-load would make me a bit more relaxed. The 9mm just doesn't provide enough retention power to keep my mind comfortable in the dark.

Gun Review: Going 2,200 Rounds With The New Glock G44 In 22lr :: Guns.com

With the Glock 36, the balance of thin lines with semi-loads is a perfect match for the stopping power of a .45 caliber cartridge. With the GLOCK 36, the Austrian gun manufacturer offers another subcompact pistol in addition to the GLOCK 30 S. What are the differences and what are the commonalities? We put the little GLOCK 36 through its paces with the big .45 ACP caliber.

The Glock G36 comes with two six-round magazines, a loading device, a cleaning rod, and a plastic Glock case.

While the G30 S uses a double-stack magazine that holds nine rounds, the GLOCK 36 uses a single-stack magazine that holds six rounds. This is mainly due to the thinner frame, as the width of the gun also plays an important role in the subcompact pistol segment. So the GLOCK 36 frame is 28 millimeters wide, while the GLOCK 30 S is wider at 32.5 millimeters.

In terms of features and design, the pistol naturally draws from the GLOCK line. Like the other weapons of the Austrian manufacturer (except for the Glock 25 and 28, which have a trigger system), the GLOCK 36 is a polymer pistol with a modified Browning lock.

The G36 also uses a partially preloaded Safe Action motor that always pulls the trigger. In terms of model design, the GLOCK 36 is more similar to the Gen3 models, albeit equipped with a double-action spring unit. However, interchangeable backstraps are something shooters won't find on the GLOCK 36.

As for the trigger grip design, the GLOCK is perfect for a subcompact. The middle finger and ring finger fit into the two finger sockets. For a medium-sized hand, the space left to the end of the magazine is enough for even a small finger to grip tightly.

However, the handle's upper structure doesn't match the Gen4 models and feels softer. It can definitely be a bit rough (–2 points).

We couldn't find anything wrong with the cycling/safety review category (-0 points). Firearms work safely and are always safe. The controls are located in the usual places for a GLOCK. Points were also deducted here for the not-easy-to-insert (–1 point) and very stiff slide-open lever (–1 point).

Although the partially loaded trigger on the pistol breaks in at a really low price for a subcompact pistol, the drawn shot and difficult tracking are ineffective (–3 points).

The slide on the GLOCK 36 is written near the muzzle. This saves material and significantly reduces the size of the weapon.

We also had no complaints about the attractions (–0 points). The wind adjustable rear sight shown in white is a perfect match for the pyramid front with white dot. The workmanship of the test pistol was almost flawless. There are absolutely no signs of operation on the polymer frame or the lock part or internal parts.

Glock 19 Gen5 Review: Could This Be The Best 9mm Gun?

Even the top of the chip is well executed. Tolerance is also very poor for a polymer pistol - there is only minimal clearance between the frame and the slide. For this, full marks (–0 marks) were awarded in this category.

In the accuracy test, the soft GLOCK had the best cartridge diameter of 58 millimeters. This gave it a score of 44 (–6 points) in the review category – a respectable result considering the gun is a short-barreled subcompact pistol. The GLOCK can certainly compete with five-inch pistols in terms of accuracy.

The GLOCK 36 continues to feature all of GLOCK's hallmarks. Both in terms of technology and design, it follows its family of models. It's craftsmanship and accuracy are top notch in the subcompact category.

Scores were deducted mainly for the controls and the slightly outdated frame rate feature. For sportsmen, the shorter GLOCK 36 is unlikely to be a common choice. But for self-defense, it combines the qualities of an easy weapon and a very powerful caliber.
